A bit about me

I started my working life as an interior designer which then developed into styling. I worked on staff at Homes and Gardens magazine and then as a freelancer stylist.

Following a move to Gloucestershire and the birth of my second child, I returned to an early love and started painting again. Alongside the rediscovering of painting, I also learned to pot and successfully went on to turn both hobbies into a living by selling at fairs and online.

Recently I have started to concentrate more on painting, exploring my love of still life. Much of my work is inspired by the solid form of ceramic vessels in contrast to the softness of flowers and foliage. I also love the colour and form fruit offer and exploring landscapes and seascapes. I’ve also discovered a love of painting birds. What all my paintings have in common is that they are all studies of how light affects form or environment.
