My first pet in my early 20’s (my parents resolutely refused to let me have pets as a child other than 2 much loved hamsters) was a cat called Bugsy. He was huge and very naughty but I adored him. Sadly I developed asthma in my mid-20’s which was triggered by Bugsy. So after a couple of years of wheezing, I re-homed him. So no more cats for me but I still love them. Their elegance and aloofness appeals to me and in many ways, my love of lurchers reflects this.

I’ve been wanting to paint them for some time so decided to go for it. Here are the results.
